Welcome to the Jorgenson family history website. We began this project on July 12th, 2002 to document our efforts
in discovering our heritage. We begin with Conrad M. Jorgenson who came to America from Sortland Norway sometime between
1905 and 1907. He is the father of Alf Arne Jorgenson from Great Falls Montana. Alf was the father of Conrad Allan Jorgenson
and was my grandfather.
The 1875 census for Sortland, Nordland, Norway shows Konrat Martin Jorgensen, born 1872 under the care of Tomasine Karoline Larsen. The 1900 census for Sortland shows Konradt Jorgensen, born 1872, married to Hardina Albertdatter, born 1874, with sons Trygve Kondratsen, born 1894 and Alf Konradtsen, (on immigration changed to Alf Jorgenson) born Aug 26, 1899.
